Senior Software Engineer – Business Intelligence (Qlik)

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Fraud Data Engineering team and drive the creation of advanced business intelligence solutions. You will design, develop, test, document, and maintain reporting and analytics platforms using Qlik, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact visualizations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop internal and external dashboards using Qlik.
• Partner with stakeholders across Mastercard to gather functional and system requirements.
• Design and implement data marts with a focus on data quality and integrity.
• Create documentation, flowcharts, and diagrams to support knowledge sharing.
• Provide guidance and oversight to the Data Engineering development team.
• Interpret conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Apply data‑modeling concepts, including entities, relationships, constraints, and data types.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience with Qlik or comparable BI tools such as WebFocus, Tableau, or PowerBI.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality results.

Required skills

• Qlik (or similar BI platforms).
• WebFocus, Tableau, PowerBI.
• Understanding of high‑performance data storage concepts (file stores, wide‑column databases, key‑value stores).
• Experience with Hadoop, Kafka, and @Scale.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
