Senior Software Development Engineer in Test – Infotainment

About the role

We are looking for a senior software development engineer in test to lead quality assurance for infotainment firmware and applications. The role involves designing, executing and automating tests across the full development lifecycle to ensure reliable media playback, audio routing, radio and connectivity functions in electric vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end test projects, defining scope, milestones and success criteria.
• Develop and execute test plans and cases for media playback, Bluetooth, streaming services, USB, audio routing, radio/tuner and media session behavior.
• Identify, document and drive resolution of defects found during integration testing on sub‑system HILs and in‑vehicle.
• Collaborate with developers and cross‑functional teams to clarify requirements, communicate risks and ensure timely defect closure.
• Prioritize testing activities across multiple concurrent workstreams and maintain up‑to‑date test environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the QA team, promoting best practices.
• Design and implement automated integration tests for source switching, playback controls, metadata validation and audio quality checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Significant experience in software testing for embedded or infotainment systems.
• Proven ability to lead complex test projects and work effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
