Senior Software Developer

About the role

CGI is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Software Developer to join a high‑performing Agile team that builds modern, services‑based web applications for a large government agency. The role offers the chance to modernize a cloud‑based system, work with a cutting‑edge stack, and grow both leadership and technical expertise in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate in an Agile setting to design, develop, test, and deploy full‑stack web applications.
• Research best practices, create sustainable architecture, and mentor junior team members.
• Participate in daily Scrum ceremonies, sprint demos, and technical design sessions.
• Author and review code using AI‑paired programming tools and conduct code reviews.
• Develop automated test scripts and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Engage with users, stakeholders, analysts, and product managers to translate functional and non‑functional requirements into solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on Java development (frontend and backend) with strong JEE knowledge.
• Proven experience in Spring Boot, microservices, and API security (OAuth, TLS, PKI).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, TDD, CI/CD, and AI‑paired programming tooling.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model (office and remote).
