Senior Site Chemist – Environmental Laboratory

About the role

BASF Agricultural Solutions is seeking a Senior Site Chemist to join its Environmental Laboratory in Palmyra, MO. The role supports manufacturing and laboratory troubleshooting through non‑routine analytical testing and leads the site Cross‑Contamination Program.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site Cross‑Contamination Program and Standards Distribution for the Americas.
• Introduce, set up, train on, and transfer new products, methodologies, and laboratory instrumentation.
• Develop, verify, and validate analytical methods; perform non‑routine testing to troubleshoot production issues.
• Research and evaluate new analysis technologies for manufacturing and laboratory use.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations, update analytical methods, PAP charts, and QC documents.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects and analyze test results for conformity.

Required profile

• BS/BA in Chemistry or a related field.
• Significant experience in analytical chemistry within an industrial or laboratory setting.
• Proven ability to lead and develop direct reports.
• Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
