Senior ServiceNow ITOM Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a senior engineer to design, build, and maintain automation and integration solutions for IT Operations Management (ITOM) across hybrid infrastructure environments. The role focuses on translating operational requirements into observable, durable software that enhances visibility, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver automation and integration solutions across ITOM platforms, fleet‑management tooling, and observability systems.
• Build and maintain APIs and data pipelines that support IT operations visibility and reporting.
• Automate operations for physical datacenter hardware lifecycle, provisioning, and asset tracking, as well as virtualized/cloud environments.
• Apply IT governance and fleet‑management discipline to managed endpoints and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with operations, infrastructure, and service‑management teams to identify gaps and engineer solutions.
• Leverage AI tooling to accelerate delivery and improve solution quality.
• Mentor junior engineers on development methodology, automation patterns, and operational best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards while staying current with emerging IT‑operations tooling.

Required profile

• Strong experience with IT operations platforms, preferably ServiceNow development (Flow Designer, Business Rules, REST APIs, CMDB).
• Hands‑on experience with hybrid or multi‑tier infrastructure (physical datacenter and cloud).
• Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Python for automation and systems integration.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and private‑cloud technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, Proxmox, OpenStack).
• Familiarity with physical datacenter hardware (Dell) and lifecycle management processes.
