Senior Service Technician – Student Living

About the role

The Senior Service Technician is responsible for performing technical and mechanical work to ensure that the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas of Limestone Park Student Living meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing repairs and inspecting finished work.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience diagnosing and repairing building systems in a residential or student‑housing environment.
• Ability to manage the make‑ready turnover process from inspection through final approval.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory control and documentation.
• Commitment to safety procedures and participation in regular safety meetings.
