Senior Research Scientist, AI on Medical Imaging

About the role

UII America, a subsidiary of Shanghai United Imaging Intelligence Healthcare Co. Ltd., is building an R&D team of AI experts and software developers in Cambridge, MA. The company provides AI solutions for medical devices, imaging and diagnosis, and is looking for AI researchers to strengthen its R&D assets in artificial intelligence, especially on medical imaging and healthcare data.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop AI and deep learning algorithms
• Extend and improve the company's existing deep learning algorithms and libraries
• Work with colleagues and management to build company assets in AI and deep learning
• Conduct cutting-edge research and turn research results into practical healthcare solutions
• Build relationships with potential customers and clinical partners
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive team environment

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or a related field
• 5+ years of research and development experience in machine learning and deep learning
• Proven experience in cutting-edge research with successful outcomes
• Track record of publications in top-tier conferences and journals such as NIPS, ICML and MICCAI
• Ability to develop practical solutions to challenging problems
• Experience and knowledge in the healthcare domain is a plus
