About the role

The Senior Research Associate I provides laboratory‑based support for the University of Miami’s research programs, focusing on specialized and complex projects in diabetes research. The role involves data collection, analysis, mentorship of junior staff, and ensuring compliance with research standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and present research data.
• Maintain and monitor research databases for accurate entries.
• Interpret research protocols and ensure adherence to good research practice.
• Participate in manuscript preparation and authorship of scientific publications.
• Recruit participants, obtain informed consent, and schedule study visits.
• Collect biospecimens such as urine and blood during participant visits.
• Coordinate with the Principal Investigator, research team, and clinical research director.
• Ensure departmental activities comply with applicable guidelines and regulations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Learning agility to adopt new procedures and technologies.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Technical proficiency with office software and relevant computer applications.
