Senior Project Manager – Structural Steel Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple large‑scale structural steel fabrication and erection projects across Texas. The role combines hands‑on leadership with strategic oversight, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead several structural steel fabrication and erection projects simultaneously.
• Drive project schedules, execution timelines, and financial performance.
• Coordinate fabrication activities, subcontractors, vendors, and field operations.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, reporting, and customer communication.
• Oversee project setup, scheduling, manpower planning, and production coordination.
• Negotiate and manage change orders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, scope issues, and execution bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with internal operations, fabrication, field, and leadership teams to ensure alignment.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor progress against quality, safety, production, and financial objectives.
• Help establish standardized project management processes and reporting structures.
• Mentor and support other Project Managers.

Required profile

• 10+ years of construction project management experience in the structural steel industry.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex commercial and industrial projects simultaneously.
• Strong financial, operational, scheduling, and forecasting capabilities.
• Experience leading teams in fast‑paced, collaborative environments.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Required skills

• Tekla
• FabSuite (or similar steel fabrication/project management systems)
• PMP certification
• OSHA certification
