Senior Project Manager, Publications – Medical Communications

About the role

Our client, a leading global medical communications agency, is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead publication‑focused programs. You will act as the operational hub between scientific, editorial, account and client teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end management of publication and medical communications projects from initiation to final delivery.
• Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, budgets and resource plans.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including scientific services, editorial, account management, creative, production and external vendors.
• Identify risks, troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
• Manage publication deliverables such as manuscripts, abstracts, posters, oral presentations and congress materials.
• Oversee routing, review cycles, approvals and submission processes, maintaining accurate trackers.
• Serve as primary contact for authors, investigators, KOLs and client stakeholders, organizing status and planning meetings.
• Provide regular client updates, manage budgets, forecasts and support invoicing.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing publications within a medical communications agency.
• Strong understanding of publication development, author management and congress deliverables.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Proven client‑facing communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
