About the role
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive expertise in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Smart Mobility to lead, expand, and successfully deliver high‑impact transportation technology projects across Texas and beyond. This full‑time hybrid role is based in Austin, Texas and requires residency in Texas.
Key responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of ITS and Smart Mobility projects from pursuit through implementation.
- Build and maintain relationships with state, regional, and local transportation agencies, municipalities, toll authorities, and other public‑sector clients.
- Identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities, including task orders, on‑call contracts, and major pursuits.
- Develop and execute strategies to expand market presence in connected infrastructure, traffic systems, and emerging mobility solutions.
- Oversee technical teams delivering traffic management, connected vehicle, tolling, transit technology, communications networks, and data systems.
- Mentor multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Shape growth strategy for the Texas ITS and Smart Mobility practice, including target clients and service offerings.
- Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, profitability, invoicing, and resource planning.
- Lead proposal strategy, capture planning, technical approach development, and client presentations.
- Represent the firm at industry organizations, conferences, and networking events.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical/business field.
- 15+ years of relevant experience, including project management on transportation technology projects.
- Proven ability to win and deliver complex ITS and Smart Mobility projects.
- Strong business‑development acumen and market presence in the Texas transportation sector.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Texas and occasionally beyond.
