Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineering

About the role

Langan is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineering to join its collaborative team in Tyler, TX. The role leads and supports design, permitting, and client management for a variety of land‑development projects while partnering with senior leadership across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Design and obtain permits for residential, institutional, commercial, warehouse distribution, and mixed‑use projects for public and private clients.
• Collaborate with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure effective staff utilization.
• Drive business development by acquiring new clients and maintaining existing relationships.
• Lead site and civil engineering efforts, overseeing site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion‑and‑sediment control from concept through completion.
• Lead storm‑water management design, conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and prepare SWPPP documentation.
• Integrate geotechnical and environmental engineering considerations into land‑development designs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• 10+ years of local site/civil engineering experience focused on land development for both small and large projects.
• Proven ability to manage site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion‑and‑sediment control from concept to completion.
• Strong knowledge of storm‑water management, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and SWPPP preparation.
