Senior Project Engineer

About the role

Moog is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead production programs for hydraulic and electromechanical actuators. Based in Chatsworth, CA, you will manage product delivery across the entire lifecycle, from proposal support to qualification and production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team to develop, integrate, and verify complex electromechanical and mechanical control actuators.
• Define requirements, create verification plans, author test procedures, and conduct verification analyses.
• Coordinate qualification of new products through comprehensive development test programs.
• Work closely with Program Management to execute product development on schedule and within budget.
• Track and report progress against schedule and cost goals, ensuring project success.
• Guide conceptual design evolution and serve as the primary point of contact for customer communications.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to customers for design reviews and technical meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering, Math, Science, Technology).
• 5+ years of professional experience in design/development engineering.
• Proven experience leading technical teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
