Senior Project Engineer

About the role

Moog’s Commercial Aircraft Group is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join its Aircraft Electronics team at the East Aurora, NY facility. In this hybrid role you will lead the analysis, design, development and testing of advanced control hardware for commercial aircraft, working closely with customers, sales, and cross‑functional engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new product requirements in collaboration with customers and sales personnel.
• Establish and monitor project budgets and schedules, ensuring alignment with program goals.
• Perform trade studies and analyses to validate conceptual solutions.
• Prepare proposal designs, cost estimates and author technical volumes.
• Lead experimental development test programs and document results.
• Represent Moog professionally with external stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers through interviewing, training and counseling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Significant experience in project engineering for aerospace or related high‑performance hardware.
• Proven ability to make independent technical decisions and manage complex programs.
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with customers and internal teams.
