Senior Project Coordinator

About the role

The University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to support the Executive Dean of Research’s space planning initiatives. This full‑time, on‑site position will oversee the coordination of research‑space projects, ensuring they stay on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assign tasks to internal teams and manage project schedules.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets, tracking all related expenditures.
• Monitor project progress, identify shortfalls, and address issues promptly.
• Serve as primary point of contact, communicating status updates and timeline changes to stakeholders.
• Create and maintain project documentation, plans, and reports.
• Organize and attend project meetings, prepare presentation materials, and record minutes.
• Conduct walkthroughs of research spaces to verify occupancy, equipment, and signage.
• Coordinate capital equipment orders, deliveries, installations, and lab/office relocations.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating complex projects in an academic or research environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
