Senior Product Manager - Platform

About the role

Topstep is seeking a senior product manager to own and evolve core areas of its proprietary futures trading platform, TopstepX. You will partner with engineering, design, trading operations, risk and support to turn platform strategy into measurable, reliable solutions that traders rely on daily.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute product strategy for core platform areas, balancing trader needs, business goals and technical constraints.
• Lead end-to-end initiatives from discovery through delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship reliable, well-instrumented features.
• Deeply understand the trader journey—from market data and charting to order entry and performance review—and prioritize accordingly.
• Break down ambiguous, technically complex problems using trader insight, platform data and market context to make clear product decisions.
• Partner with engineering to ensure new capabilities do not compromise platform stability, performance or resilience.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, trading operations and support to keep platform behavior accurate and transparent.

Required profile

• 5-7+ years of product management experience delivering technical products end-to-end.
• Background in trading, brokerage, fintech or other real-time, data-intensive domains with a curiosity about markets.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with detailed execution ability.
• Proven success leading complex, cross-functional projects with significant technical and user complexity.
• Fluency in customer discovery, product validation and data-informed decision-making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across engineers, traders and business leaders.
