About the role

The Senior Preconstruction Manager will lead the pre‑construction phase of large‑scale projects, ensuring thorough planning and a smooth transition to construction. This role focuses on complex projects within healthcare, higher education, and senior living sectors, collaborating closely with estimating teams, project managers, architects, engineers, and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pre‑construction processes for complex projects in healthcare, higher education, and senior living.
• Develop and manage conceptual estimates to align with client expectations and project goals.
• Collaborate with project teams, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless hand‑off to construction.
• Review plans and specifications, assess risks, and identify cost‑effective solutions.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to gather pricing information and evaluate bids.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Provide strategic input to optimize project delivery and profitability.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in pre‑construction management, emphasizing conceptual estimating.
• Proven track record managing pre‑construction for large, complex projects in healthcare, higher education, or senior living.
• Strong knowledge of cost modeling, budgeting, and project delivery processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with internal teams, clients, architects, and subcontractors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
