Senior PNT Modeling & Simulation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Modeling & Simulation Engineer to support the U.S. Army Technical Support Management Office at Redstone Arsenal. The engineer will develop, analyze, and validate modeling and simulation products that evaluate emerging PNT technologies and their operational value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of Modeling & Simulation analyses for Army PNT initiatives.
• Develop and run analytical cases to assess PNT system performance in varied operational scenarios.
• Build mission threads, use cases, and simulation scenarios that showcase emerging PNT capabilities.
• Analyze system behavior in GPS‑contested, degraded, and denied environments.
• Define measures of effectiveness, measures of performance, and quantitative metrics for technical evaluations.
• Collaborate with government engineers, system engineers, software developers, and operational users to capture simulation requirements.
• Conduct trade studies and evaluate technology alternatives using M&S tools.
• Support technical reviews, working groups, briefings, and documentation preparation.
• Participate in experimentation, demonstrations, and validation activities for PNT technologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience supporting Department of Defense programs.
• Experience with Army or DoD Positioning, Navigation, and Timing initiatives.
• Proven track record developing Modeling & Simulation solutions for complex defense systems.
• Ability to construct analytical cases, mission scenarios, and simulation environments.
