Senior Paralegal, Housing Rights

About the role

Asian Law Caucus is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join its Housing Rights Program in San Francisco. The role provides critical litigation and client support to low‑income tenants, many of whom are limited‑English‑proficient immigrants.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare briefs, discovery requests, forms and correspondence for housing‑rights cases.
• File court documents, maintain case files and update data for grant reporting.
• Conduct legal research, interview clients and potential witnesses, and identify relevant legal issues.
• Provide interpretation support and assist attorneys with case strategy under the supervision of the Managing Attorney.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on team meetings, retreats and community outreach events.

Required profile

• Experience as a paralegal in housing or civil‑rights law.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite per week).
• Strong written and oral communication skills; proficiency in a non‑English language is a plus.
• Membership in the CWA Local 9410 collective bargaining unit or eligibility to join.
