About the role
Applied Materials is seeking a Senior New Product Manufacturing Engineer (E3) to lead manufacturing readiness for remote AC racks, equipment racks and related control systems in Austin, TX. The role combines electro‑mechanical expertise with NPI, system integration and supplier engagement to transition new products to high‑volume manufacturing.
Key responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing readiness for Remote AC Racks, Equipment Racks, MF AC Boxes and FI/Mainframe controls.
- Develop, implement and release new product BOMs and operation method sheets for medium‑complex modules.
- Perform 3D solid‑model virtual analysis, including Master Layout and Digital Mock‑Up.
- Drive issue resolution, root‑cause corrective analysis and long‑term corrective actions.
- Support engineering builds, qualification activities and system‑level integration checks.
- Provide real‑time troubleshooting for line‑down and system‑level issues and manage BOM/configuration changes.
Required profile
- Strong electro‑mechanical engineering background with experience in remote AC rack design (MRAC, CMAC, CAAC, EQRK).
- Proven experience in NPI, system integration and manufacturing support for high‑volume production.
- Ability to work with global teams, contract manufacturers and travel to supplier sites as needed.
