Senior Microsoft 365 Platform Engineer – Automation, Agents, & Copilot

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Platform Engineer to design, automate, and enhance its enterprise Microsoft 365 environment, including the development of Copilot agents. The role combines deep administration expertise with modern automation and AI‑driven solutions to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and optimize Microsoft 365 services across the enterprise, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Purview.
• Design, build, test, and support Microsoft 365 Copilot agents and connectors that securely access approved data sources.
• Develop and maintain automation using Power Automate, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, and Azure integration services.
• Implement governance, security, and compliance controls for identity, data, agents, and service lifecycle.
• Provide senior escalation support, monitor service health, and create documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience engineering and administering Microsoft 365 in a large enterprise.
• Proven experience delivering migrations, pilots, feature rollouts, and enterprise‑scale automation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across identity, permissions, policies, APIs, and cloud services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work across engineering, security, and operations teams.

• Microsoft 365 workloads (Copilot, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, Purview).
• Advanced PowerShell scripting and module development.
• Power Automate flow creation and low‑code automation.
• Microsoft Graph API, REST/SDK integration, OAuth, and app registrations.
• Copilot Agent Builder, Copilot Studio, and SharePoint agents.
• Azure Automation, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Key Vault.
• Dataverse, Power Platform governance, and CI/CD practices (Git, testing, release management).
