Senior Marine Claims Specialist

About the role

Zurich North America is seeking a Senior Marine Claims Specialist to manage complex marine liability, hull, and cargo claims. The role operates under a flexible hybrid model, allowing remote work within the United States while supporting occasional in‑office collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Handle dedicated marine accounts and manage claim files from inception to resolution.
• Interact frequently with insureds, brokers, and underwriters to gather information and negotiate settlements.
• Travel occasionally for site visits or meetings, though travel is not a primary requirement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with six or more years of claims or litigation management experience, or JD with two or more years, or equivalent Zurich apprenticeship/claims training pathways.
• Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products.
