Senior Manager, Site Reliability Engineering

About the role

A Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Senior Manager leads the vision, strategy and practice of SRE across the organization, ensuring reliability, availability, performance and scalability of enterprise platforms. The role also serves as senior Incident Commander, coordinating major incident response and driving post‑incident improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategies and roadmaps in partnership with senior leadership.
• Manage the overall budget for the product portfolio area.
• Lead and scale high‑performing engineering teams to deliver complex software solutions.
• Define and execute a strategic vision for the engineering organization, aligning technology adoption with business objectives.
• Mentor, coach and develop engineering managers and other leaders.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning and excellence.
• Analyze business needs and propose budgets, technologies and resources to achieve goals.
• Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency, scalability and customer experience.
• Present technical thought leadership at leadership forums.
• Promote data‑driven decision‑making and alignment across teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing strategies and roadmaps with senior leadership.
• Budget management experience for product portfolios.
• Track record of leading and scaling high‑performing engineering teams.
• Experience mentoring and coaching engineering managers.
• Ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Experience presenting technical insights to senior audiences.
