Senior Manager, Product Engineering

About the role

MAPFRE is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its Product Engineering organization. The role oversees product development, lifecycle management, and the delivery of complex software solutions while aligning technology strategy with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategies and roadmaps in partnership with senior leadership.
• Manage the overall budget for the product portfolio.
• Lead and scale high‑performing engineering teams to deliver complex software efficiently.
• Define and execute a strategic vision for the engineering organization.
• Mentor, coach, and develop engineering managers and other leaders.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence.
• Analyze business needs and propose budgets, technologies, and resources.
• Drive data‑driven decision‑making and champion cultural alignment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Master’s degree in computer science is a strong preference.
• Proven experience managing application engineers and leading large technical teams.
• Demonstrated ability to create referenceable frameworks for multiple languages/platforms.
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
