Senior Manager – Operations & Strategy (Hybrid)

About the role

Smurfit WestRock is seeking a Senior Manager to lead cross‑functional initiatives in its Atlanta Metropolitan Area hub. This full‑time hybrid position combines on‑site collaboration with flexible work‑from‑home days, supporting the company’s fast‑paced packaging operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute strategic priorities across manufacturing, financial and customer‑focused targets.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, overseeing performance, resource allocation and change management.
• Analyze business data, prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership, and communicate with key stakeholders.
• Drive process‑improvement projects, ensuring alignment with operational efficiency goals.
• Contribute to long‑term planning to strengthen Smurfit WestRock’s competitive position.

Required profile

• Proven leadership and people‑management experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong background in strategic planning, project management and process improvement.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven decision‑making approach.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management or related field; MBA is a plus.
• Experience in global or multi‑site organizations and familiarity with hybrid work environments.
• Ability to work in the Atlanta area and travel to facilities or customer sites as needed.
