Senior Manager, New Store Openings

About the role

The Senior Manager, New Store Openings will lead the end‑to‑end launch of high‑volume retail locations in new markets. Reporting to the New Market Opening team, you will coordinate cross‑functional initiatives from site selection through post‑opening performance analysis, ensuring a strong first impression and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Property Development, merchandising, and operations teams 9‑10 months before grand opening to define site selection, layout, and inventory plans.
• Design and implement grand‑opening strategies, including pool management, freight pre‑processing, and throughput optimization.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration across the organization to support field teams in new markets.
• Analyze opening performance data, produce reporting dashboards, and recommend improvements.
• Communicate insights and progress to senior leadership through storytelling and data‑driven presentations.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional experience, preferably in strategic consulting, retail, or consumer products.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• Prior experience managing retail or new‑store openings is a strong advantage.
