Senior Manager Government Affairs

About the role

Radiant is seeking a Senior Manager Government Affairs to lead engagement with Congress and shape the policy, authorization, and appropriations environment needed for deploying portable nuclear microreactors to U.S. government customers. The role sits at the core of Radiant’s federal growth strategy, supporting national security, energy resilience, and mission‑critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a congressional affairs strategy aligned with key government programs and deployment timelines.
• Build and maintain relationships with Members of Congress, committee staff, and leadership offices across defense, energy, appropriations, and homeland security.
• Identify and advance authorizing and appropriations language that enables deployment of advanced nuclear systems.
• Track, analyze, and influence annual authorization and appropriations cycles, hearings, markups, and legislative proposals.
• Prepare briefing materials, hearing memos, legislative analyses, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
• Help shape the external narrative around Radiant’s role in national security and resilient infrastructure.

Required profile

• Extensive experience navigating congressional processes, especially authorization and appropriations.
• Proven ability to translate technical and operational priorities into legislative outcomes.
• Strong communication skills for briefing senior executives and external stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of defense, energy, and homeland security policy environments.
