Senior Maintenance Technician – Greater San Francisco Bay Area

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to support its stabilized, mid‑rise portfolio of about 600 units across the South Bay, San Francisco, and East Bay. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Assist with grounds, common area and amenity upkeep as needed.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience with plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair and make‑ready/turn processes.
• Ability to travel between multiple properties throughout the Bay Area.
• Availability to work days with Sundays and Mondays off and be on‑call as required.
