Senior Maintenance Technician – Alta Grandway

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Technician ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas at the Alta Grandway property meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality. This role combines hands‑on repairs, preventative maintenance and coordination of make‑ready activities for vacant units.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Manage the make‑ready process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, supply procurement, task execution and final inspection.
• Track and retrieve tools, equipment and supplies from the maintenance department, maintain inventory records and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety and risk‑management meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling work orders, preventative maintenance and building repairs.
• Ability to conduct make‑ready inspections, coordinate vendors and manage supplies.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking, documentation procedures and safety compliance.
