Senior Machine Learning Engineer, AI Generation Engine

About the role

SandboxAQ's AI Generation Engine (SAIGE) team is seeking a highly accomplished Machine Learning Engineer to own the end‑to‑end ML lifecycle, from data exploration and model development to scalable production deployment. The role is central to designing and rapidly building AI‑first products that incorporate Large Quantitative Models and sophisticated agentic frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, construct, and manage robust data pipelines for training, validation, and continuous retraining of Large Quantitative Models and agentic frameworks.
• Develop, implement, and rigorously test novel ML models and algorithms, defining metrics to align performance with product objectives.
• Clean, transform, and engineer features from complex large‑scale datasets to optimize model accuracy.
• Analyze model behavior, tune hyper‑parameters, and optimize architecture for efficiency, speed, and production readiness.
• Collaborate with AI researchers, product managers, and software engineers to translate business goals into actionable ML roadmaps.
• Champion engineering standards for code quality, system efficiency, and security in a prototyping environment.

Required profile

• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of post‑graduate experience in software development and building highly‑available, scalable ML systems.
• Proven track record of driving the full ML lifecycle from data exploration to production deployment.
• Strong expertise in Python and the ML stack (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, NumPy, Pandas).
• Deep proficiency in MLOps practices, including CI/CD for ML, experiment tracking, automated testing, and version control for code and datasets.
