Senior Lead Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

About the role

Clear Recruitment is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer with Allen-Bradley experience to join its client on a contract basis. The engineer works in a team of engineers and designers who produce construction documents for instrumentation and controls, telecommunications, fire alarm and security systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks for the design of technology systems for high-tech facilities such as cleanrooms, manufacturing and process facilities and institutions.
• Develop conceptual, preliminary and final design documents, including technology schematic diagrams, equipment layouts, cable routing and details.
• Coordinate with the project team, other disciplines and other design offices, and ensure their inputs are incorporated into deliverables.
• Assist in developing studies and design procedures that support high-quality, cost-effective work.
• Mentor and train junior staff and build positive working relationships internally and externally.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) license and NCEES record preferred.
• 8+ years of experience.
• Preferred: prior experience as a consulting engineer, in advanced technology, in quality control review and continuous improvement, and in a team environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of codes and common industry standards for industrial and manufacturing facilities and systems.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Building Systems software; Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products.
• Good time management, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
