Senior Law Enforcement Officer

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is seeking a Senior Law Enforcement Officer to protect its property, assets, and personnel. Reporting to an Assistant Manager, you will serve as a sworn Federal Police Officer with full arrest powers, responding to incidents and providing emergency services on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Control pedestrian and vehicle access, patrol the facility and grounds, and report unauthorized individuals.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and crisis situations, following established protocols until resolution.
• Conduct initial investigations of accidents or incidents and prepare detailed incident and activity reports.
• Operate and monitor security equipment including access control systems, video surveillance, x‑ray and metal detectors, alarms, and AEDs.
• Testify in court and provide accurate, concise police reports.

Required profile

• Sworn Federal Police Officer status with full arrest authority.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in life‑safety situations, including use‑or‑non‑use of force decisions.
• Strong written communication skills for clear, grammatically correct reporting.
• Capability to work extended hours and during emergency or crisis events.
