Senior Laboratory Informaticist

About the role

The Senior Laboratory Informaticist supports and administers laboratory information systems across a large, multi‑regional healthcare network. The role focuses on improving workflow, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing patient safety through technology adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Health Informatics and technical teams to align laboratory workflows with enterprise standards and strategic goals.
• Provide medium to high‑complexity application support for all laboratory systems, including troubleshooting infrastructure‑related issues.
• Deliver informal training, guidance, and documentation to end‑users of laboratory applications.
• Assess LIS performance for patient care, user satisfaction, and clinical productivity, and recommend improvements.
• Participate in clinical content reviews, change‑management processes, and communication of system updates.

Required profile

• Strong patient‑centric and end‑user focus with the ability to work independently.
• In‑depth knowledge of healthcare laboratory operations and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with clinical and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze, test, document, and implement system enhancements.
