Senior IT Auditor

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to join its audit team. In this role you will support the audit and strategic plan by planning, scoping, executing, and reporting on IT audits that address dynamic risk environments across the Federal Reserve System.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and document moderately complex IT audit fieldwork in line with IIA standards.
• Design, evaluate, and test IT controls across business systems, application development, and processes.
• Identify and analyze IT and cybersecurity risks, document impacts, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Perform follow‑up reviews on prior findings to verify remediation effectiveness.
• Act as IT Audit Liaison for moderate‑risk business processes, coordinating with audit teams and stakeholders.
• Evaluate IT projects and programs for control effectiveness, governance, and risk management, delivering formal assessment reports.
• Monitor key IT risk indicators, produce trend analyses, and generate exception reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, IT, IS, Cybersecurity, or equivalent specialized training.
• Experience applying IT, cybersecurity, project management, and cloud knowledge to technical audit assignments.
• Ability to work under general supervision and collaborate with senior team members.
• No direct‑report responsibilities.
