Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Freeman Company seeks a Senior Internal Auditor to lead and execute operational, financial, compliance, and IT audits across corporate and branch locations. Reporting functionally to the Chairman of the Audit Committee and administratively to the CFO, the role provides independent assurance and consulting to improve risk management and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing the annual internal audit plan.
• Identify, assess, and document financial, operational, IT, and compliance risks.
• Plan, lead, and conduct audit engagements, including risk assessment, scoping, testing, and reporting in line with IIA standards and COSO.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Draft audit observations, communicate results to management and executives, and partner with stakeholders throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Provide consultative support on strategic initiatives, control design, and process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong business acumen with the ability to think critically and communicate clearly.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and take full ownership of audits.
• Experience partnering with operating leaders to drive value‑add outcomes.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, hybrid work environment.
