Senior Information Security Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a senior cybersecurity professional to lead security, compliance and risk management for government information systems. The specialist will guide RMF and A&A activities, ensure robust security controls and support mission‑critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead information system security throughout the system lifecycle.
• Manage and support Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes.
• Develop, review and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs) and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms).
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analyses and risk assessments.
• Evaluate implemented security controls and recommend corrective actions.
• Track and support remediation of security vulnerabilities and compliance deficiencies.
• Support continuous monitoring and maintain awareness of system security posture.
• Coordinate with system owners, engineers, developers and administrators.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in information assurance, cybersecurity and government information systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead RMF and A&A initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills for risk and vulnerability assessment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required.
