Senior Import Specialist

About the role

Moog is seeking a Senior Import Specialist to join its Trade Compliance Team in a hybrid capacity at the East Aurora, NY facility. The role focuses on ensuring that all import activities comply with U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and related government requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day import compliance activities, including entry accuracy and record maintenance.
• Respond to CBP inquiries and monitor customs broker performance.
• Lead strategic initiatives to strengthen controls, automate processes, and improve cost‑effective import operations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customs brokers, and regulatory authorities to translate complex regulations into practical solutions.
• Design, document, and implement clear procedures and provide training to cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, international trade, logistics, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in U.S. import compliance and customs regulations.
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) strongly preferred.
• Proven project‑management experience with cross‑functional leadership.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and communication skills.
