Senior Healthcare Application Developer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Application Developer to work remotely on a large federal government healthcare modernization project. The role involves building secure, scalable applications that leverage FHIR data and interoperability services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and support healthcare applications and reusable components using FHIR and standardized interoperability services.
• Develop SMART on FHIR frameworks, prioritized applications, and CDS Hooks services.
• Build digital quality‑measure and HEDIS capabilities and integrate them with clinical and quality data services.
• Translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable solutions for clinical, payer‑provider, public‑health, and quality‑reporting use cases.
• Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, testers, and external partners on testing, troubleshooting, documentation, deployment, and knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of application development experience.
• Strong ability to analyze business and technical requirements and solve complex integration problems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working independently and providing technical leadership.

Required skills

• Java or similar programming language.
• JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and SQL.
• Familiarity with FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and CDS Hooks.
• Experience building modern web applications (front‑end and back‑end).
