Senior Grants and Contracts Manager

About the role

The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking a Senior Grants and Contracts Manager to lead the strategic coordination, administration, and compliance of all grants and contracts within the Division of Women, Children, and Nursing Services. This federally funded position supports the agency’s mission to protect lives and promote health across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of federal and state grants, from pre‑award planning through award acceptance and closeout.
• Serve as the primary liaison among program staff, finance, legal, and the Division of Finance Grants Management Office.
• Prepare and revise grant budgets, ensure accurate financial reporting, and monitor grant performance.
• Manage procurement processes, vendor relationships, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Provide guidance on grant policies, regulations, and audit readiness.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in grant and contract management, preferably within a public health or government setting.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state grant regulations, procurement rules, and compliance standards.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate complex requirements clearly.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
