Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Semgrep is looking for a senior full‑stack engineer to design, build and maintain a fast, reliable user experience for its application‑security customers. You will work closely with designers and product managers to create flows that help security professionals and developers achieve their security goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship features across both the frontend (TypeScript, React) and backend (Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy) stacks.
• Collaborate with product, design and security teams to define user‑centric workflows.
• Own end‑to‑end implementation of new functionality and ensure scalability on Kubernetes‑based AWS infrastructure.
• Maintain code quality, performance, and reliability as the platform grows rapidly.

Required profile

• Several years of professional software development experience, preferably in full‑stack roles.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (3+ days onsite in San Francisco, New York, Boston or Denver) with remote options for exceptional candidates.
• Willingness to quickly learn and adopt Semgrep’s technology stack.

What we offer

• Base salary range $163,000 – $246,500 per year, plus equity and variable compensation.
