Senior Full-Stack Engineer

About the role

ClassDojo is expanding its education platform and needs a senior full‑stack engineer to build and scale the systems that serve millions of teachers, students, and families worldwide. You will work in a collaborative, pair‑programming environment, delivering production code from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Ship new and improved features to end users in collaboration with your team.
• Write, debug, and optimize code for web apps, APIs, databases, and infrastructure with automated tests and monitoring.
• Deliver code to production frequently and incrementally.
• Collaborate through pair programming, mob programming, code reviews, and design sessions.
• Contribute to cross‑team technical improvements, tooling, and architecture discussions.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience at companies of various sizes, from large tech players to startups.
• Proven track record of delivering impactful user and business outcomes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Passion for education and desire to impact millions of learners.

Required skills

• Node.js (or similar JavaScript runtime) at scale.
• React for front‑end development.
• MongoDB or MySQL databases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, especially on AWS.
• Test automation and automated monitoring.
