Senior Full Stack Developer (Angular, Java/NodeJS)

About the role

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is looking for a senior full‑stack developer to build and maintain a cloud‑based web dashboard that processes healthcare EDI transactions. The role is remote and involves both back‑end API development and front‑end Angular work within an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and migrate a cloud‑based web dashboard for healthcare EDI processing.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to retrieve, transform and serve EDI data.
• Integrate APIs with internal platforms, AWS services and data pipelines to deliver live and historical transaction data.
• Develop and enhance the Angular front‑end, building components and ensuring accurate data presentation for business and clinical users.
• Collaborate with C#/.Net and AWS data engineers to define API contracts and ensure reliable data delivery.
• Write clean, testable, well‑documented code, perform code reviews, and conduct unit and integration testing.
• Support deployment, monitoring and performance tuning of back‑end services on AWS.
• Use Git and GitHub for version control, branching and pull‑request workflows.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with Java and/or NodeJS back‑end development and Angular front‑end UI.
• Strong understanding of structured healthcare data and EDI formats.
• Proven ability to build back‑end services that serve structured EDI or healthcare data to front‑end applications.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), including API Gateway, Lambda, S3 and CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools such as JIRA.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and within a distributed team.
