Senior Frontend Software Engineer (React/Next.js)

About the role

AmaWaterways is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to create modern, user‑centric web experiences for its consumer and partner digital products. The role focuses on building fast, scalable, and accessible applications using React and Next.js.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of responsive, accessible, high‑performance user interfaces with React.js and Next.js.
• Design, build, and maintain reusable frontend components and libraries following best practices.
• Implement advanced Next.js features such as Server‑Side Rendering, Static Site Generation, and API routes to improve performance, scalability, and SEO.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and other frontend teams to turn wireframes and requirements into high‑quality code.
• Integrate applications with REST and GraphQL APIs and external data sources.
• Optimize applications for speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall user experience.
• Write unit, integration, and regression tests to ensure code quality and stability.
• Develop and maintain Builder.io‑powered pages, templates, and components, integrating them with Next.js.
