Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

About the role

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will join a full‑service financial institution with over $6 billion in assets. Based in Annapolis, MD, the role operates on a hybrid schedule and focuses on delivering accurate internal and external financial reports that support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
• Review financial statements, perform analytical reviews, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Support internal, external, and SOX audit requests during interim and year‑end periods.
• Assist with period‑end close activities, including ledger entries, reconciliations, and data compilation.
• Prepare and file SEC, FDIC, FHLB, FRB, IRS, and State of Maryland reports (10K, 10Q, XBRL, call reports).
• Maintain documentation of internal controls over financial reporting (SOX) and manage ad‑hoc accounting projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in financial services or banking.
• Experience with regulatory reporting and audit processes.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
