Senior Financial Controller (Management Accountant)

About the role

Advanced Asset Management (AAM) is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead accounting and financial operations across its multi‑property portfolio. Reporting to the CEO/Managing Director, you will manage consolidated reporting, ensure U.S. GAAP compliance, and drive process improvements while working remotely on Central Standard Time.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closes for multiple properties and prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Coordinate audit preparation, maintain loan covenant compliance, and manage tax filings.
• Handle cash‑flow forecasting, bank reconciliations, capital calls, owner distributions and loan draw schedules.
• Strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, and ensure consistency in reconciliations and journal entries.
• Apply cost allocation methods, analyze unit economics and identify margin improvement opportunities.
• Develop multi‑scenario financial models, perform sensitivity and stress testing to support strategic decisions.
• Supervise offshore accounting staff, provide training and ensure timely, accurate deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA/CMA preferred).
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, audit processes and regulatory compliance.
• Detail‑oriented, process‑driven and capable of managing multiple deadlines independently.
