Senior Financial Analyst – Trade Finance

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst – Trade Finance will act as a strategic business partner to commercial teams, managing key P&L accounts and providing insights that drive brand and channel investment strategies. This role combines strong financial modeling expertise with deep knowledge of customer dynamics and promotional economics within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly close and forecasting for key P&L accounts, explaining drivers by brand and channel.
• Partner with Demand Planning, Revenue Management, and Finance to assess volume risks, investment strategies, and balance‑sheet exposure.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, establish KPIs and guardrails, and collaborate on pricing and trade‑investment analysis.
• Deliver strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership on current and future business performance.
• Champion system and process enhancements to improve scalability and financial accuracy.
• Mentor junior analysts, fostering a high‑performance culture and team development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
• 5‑7 years of experience in FP&A, brand finance, or commercial strategy within the CPG industry.
• Knowledge of GAAP, analytical concepts, and financial operating systems.
• Strong communication and storytelling ability with data.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and build relationships with senior leadership.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Financial modeling.
• Tableau (preferred).
• Oracle EPM, Hyperion, or similar systems (a plus).

What we offer

• Base pay range of $78,668 to $125,280 annually, dependent on location, experience and qualifications.
