About the role

Georgetown University is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to lead budgeting and financial planning for its University Services cluster. The role supports high‑profile, revenue‑generating units and ensures fiscal discipline across multiple departments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, including the development of five‑year financial plans.
• Manage financial reporting and analysis, preparing trend analyses, variance reports, and year‑to‑date results.
• Analyze budgets and financial data, providing recommendations and analytical presentations to stakeholders.
• Identify budgetary issues, advise leadership, and propose corrective actions.
• Supervise senior analysts and budget planners within the assigned cluster.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Master’s degree or higher in Business or Finance.
• Experience supervising finance analysts and managing large, complex budgets.
• Strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership.
