Senior Energy Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading facility solutions provider, is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer to lead the design and implementation of energy conservation projects for large commercial, institutional and industrial facilities. The role combines deep technical expertise with project leadership, client interaction and mentorship of junior engineers, and involves up to 30% travel to project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of energy conservation and efficiency projects for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
• Conduct comprehensive energy audits and evaluate utility consumption data.
• Develop accurate and defensible energy savings calculations and financial analyses.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, estimating, and project management teams throughout project development and execution.
• Present technical findings, recommendations, and project solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project execution, ensuring quality, accuracy, and successful delivery.
• Mentor and support Energy Engineers and other project team members.
• Stay current on emerging technologies, industry regulations, sustainability initiatives, and best practices.
• Support projects involving HVAC systems, building automation, lighting upgrades, renewable energy technologies, and central plant optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Senior‑level experience in energy engineering and building systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% to project sites.
• Residence within two to three hours of Cleveland, Ohio.
• Ability to work on‑site at the Middleburg Heights headquarters at least once per week.
