Senior Electrical Engineer, PCB

About the role

Radiant, a startup developing portable nuclear microreactors, is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer focused on full‑stack PCB development. You will lead the electrical architecture for terrestrial reactor control systems and help pave the way toward future space applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop multilayer, mixed‑signal PCBs for reactor control and instrumentation.
• Define electrical architecture including power distribution, analog front‑ends and digital control interfaces.
• Create low‑noise analog front‑end circuits and integrate them with ADC/DAC and digital subsystems.
• Perform schematic capture, component selection and PCB layout with emphasis on signal integrity, power integrity, grounding and EMI/EMC mitigation.
• Develop high‑speed and precision layouts for sensor interfaces, data acquisition paths and communication buses.
• Bring up, debug and validate hardware through board‑level testing, instrumentation and root‑cause analysis.
• Develop and execute validation and qualification test plans covering performance, reliability and environmental conditions.
• Collaborate with firmware, FPGA, DSP and other engineers to ensure seamless hardware‑software integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing custom multilayer and mixed‑signal PCBs.
• Proven ability to lead hardware development from requirements through field deployment.

Required skills

• PCB design and layout tools (Altium, Cadence or similar).
• Mixed‑signal circuit design, high‑speed interfaces, power distribution.
• Signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, EMI/EMC mitigation.
• Analog front‑end design, ADC/DAC integration.
• Hardware bring‑up, debugging, board‑level testing.
• Hardware validation and qualification testing.
• Collaboration with firmware, FPGA and DSP development.
