Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the electrical engineering and design efforts for large, complex commercial building projects from concept through construction. This position provides technical leadership, mentors junior staff, and collaborates closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of electrical design, engineering, and specification development for commercial building projects.
• Develop conceptual and schematic electrical designs for complex projects within aggressive schedules.
• Organize and manage engineering activities throughout design and construction phases.
• Direct and mentor engineers and designers assigned to project teams.
• Review electrical calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary project teams to meet milestones and budget objectives.
• Perform site surveys, field investigations, and existing equipment assessments.
• Provide engineering support during construction, responding to field questions and resolving technical issues.
• Monitor project scope, engineering budgets, and construction budgets while proactively communicating potential changes.
• Assist in developing and maintaining company engineering, drafting, and design standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading electrical engineering and design for commercial building projects.
• Must reside in the Cleveland metropolitan area or be willing to relocate.
